The types of contract we offer
Updated: 24 Feb 2017
Finding out about our tenders
All tenders for construction, supplies and services with an estimated value exceeding £30,000 in value will be advertised on this website, giving a minimum period of notice of 10 working days notice.
- Further information on how tenders are carried out can be found within section B3 of Northern Ireland Housing Executive Standing Orders & Board Scheme of Delegations ( 559 KB)
Note: Contracts above the EC Procurement Threshold are publicly advertised in the Official Journal of the European Union. Further information is available on the OJEU website
We may also use a call-off contract awarded by another public sector body such as the Government Procurement Service or the Central Procurement Directorate, Department of Finance and Personnel provided their procurement procedures involved adequate competition and achieved reasonable value for money. If this is the case then we comply with the relevant procurement protocol agreed by the public sector.
Requirements for Tendering
Tenderers, and their Sub-Contractors, interested in working on government construction contracts are reminded of the change which came into effect on the 31st December 2012, regarding Health and Safety Management systems for first-tier subcontractors.
Main contractors are required to ensure that all their first-tier subcontractors with 5 or more employees have a Health and Safety Management System certified by a 3rd party.
Further information regarding the Buildsafe-NI Action Plan and the requirements for 3rd party certification of Health and Safety Management Systems is available at:
As outlined in section B3 of the Standing Orders & Board Scheme Delegations document, tenders of a certain value require tenderers to be registered on Constructionline. Further information on how to register with Constructionline can be found at:
