Downpatrick Crime Prevention
Our local staff, alongside partner agencies including PSNI, NIFRS, and staff from Newry, Mourne and Down District Council held a community safety event.
The community safety event was to highlight crime prevention advice at the Greenhill YMCA Centre in Newcastle on Monday evening.
Residents from the town centre and outlining areas attended the event to receive important practical safety advice, to keep their homes and families safe.
Our Assistant Housing Services Manager Bronagh Magorrian said:
"This was a great opportunity to highlight partnership working between organisations to engage with the local community to provide safety advice. It was extremely positive regarding the number of people who attended and availed of the opportunity to receive safety advice and useful crime prevention information.
"It is important for our tenants to understand that information is available from a number of resources to keep themselves and the property safe from crime."
