Yellow wind warning
The MET Office has issued a yellow warning of wind for Friday 23rd December.
A spell of very strong south to southwesterly winds is expected to develop on Friday. Gusts of 60 to 70 mph are likely quite widely, with westerly winds gusting to 80 - 90 mph likely across parts of northern Scotland later on Friday.
Please be aware that there is potential for some structural damage - this more likely across the northwest of the warning area - as well as disruption to power supplies and travel, with restrictions on bridges and disruption to ferries.
This will affect County Antrim, County Armagh, County Down, County Fermanagh, County Londonderry, and County Tyrone.
If you are a Housing Executive tenant and your home has been affected by severe weather conditions call us on 03448 920 901.
