Transformation completed at Lismore Drive

Over £18,900 has been invested by us into Lismore Drive in Donaghamore to redevelop the area.
The Ground Maintenance Team covering the South Region completed the landscaping which has renovated the area.
A seated area, with new flower beds and raised planters constructed with timber sleepers and a wide variety of plants have been completed at the Lismore Drive area.
As well as two summer seats located on a new brick pathway overlooking the Sperrin’s with climbing plants on new pergolas acting as a backdrop for residents to enjoy, the garden has a paved area as well as various evergreen and herbaceous and hedging plants to promote biodiversity and encourage wildlife.
Following consultation with local residents and community association members, work began in January 2017 and was completed with a total investment of over £18,900 provided by us in February 2017.
Our Mid Ulster Area Manager Michael Dallat said:
“It is extremely pleasing to see the completed refurbishment of the Lismore Drive area.
"Our Ground Maintenance Team should take a lot of credit for their efforts in renovating the area.
“The seating area will act as a central communal location for everyone to enjoy. The new flower beds planted certainly add to the area.
“The Housing Executive aims to improve the lives of our tenants and the additions will make residents feel proud to be from Lismore Drive.”
Mary McGeary, a resident of Lismore Drive added:
“We are delighted with the work carried out and the new landscaping at Lismore Drive.
"Our residents wanted a peaceful area for reflection and the new seating area and flower beds make a beautiful addition.
“We would like to thank the Housing Executive for their efforts and turning the area into somewhere welcoming and inclusive for all.”
